The Walk Discourse aims to host a one-year series of monthly walkshops. For every walkshop, The Walk Discourse sets out to invite one local walking artist/researcher to host a walkshop* during or after which participants can gather to discuss the experiences collected in relation to their own walking art practice/research. The walkshops will be taking place in selected public spaces in San Francisco and will last 2-4h depending on the form of the walkshop. The walkshops can be of very different nature – artist-led, audio-led, participatory, lecture-based – depending on the style and choice of the “walkshop-presenter.”
If you are interested to host a walkshop, please send a max. 500-word proposal incl. title for the proposed walkshop, short max. 250-word biographical statement and link to your homepage via email to email@example.com. Deadline to apply for the first TWD walkshop season 2018-19 is July 15th, 2018. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
* Please note, this is a newly emerging grassroots project. There is currently no funding available for the selected contributors. We will provide letters of invitation and are actively seeking out available alternative funding resources. Please share funding sources with us if you have suggestions.
